Sooper has no monthly fee. It takes 8% of revenue, and you pay Stripe's standard processing fees for your country on top, billed by Stripe to your own account. Skool costs $9 a month on Hobby or $99 a month on Pro after a 14-day trial, plus a transaction fee that already includes payment processing: 10% + 30c on Hobby, and 2.9% + 30c on Pro (3.9% + 30c on charges of $900 and up). In practice Sooper costs less while you earn under roughly $1,240 a month, because 8% of that is less than Skool Pro's $99. Above that, Skool Pro's fees are lower. Skool also takes a 30% commission on members it sends you through its own discovery unless you switch Growth Boost off.

On Sooper, straight to your own Stripe account. Every payment is charged directly on your account and Stripe pays it out to your bank on its normal schedule. Sooper never holds your funds. Skool is the merchant of record: it collects the payments itself, you cannot connect an existing Stripe account, and your balance is paid out every Wednesday once funds become available, which Skool says takes 8 to 14 days.

On Sooper you sell in USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, CAD or AUD and members pay in that currency. VAT and sales tax run through Stripe Tax on your own account once you enable it, so you stay the seller and handle your own registrations. Skool prices every group in USD and pays you out in your local currency without a conversion fee. As merchant of record Skool collects and remits sales tax and VAT for you, which is less work, and it always adds VAT on top of your price. You cannot make your price VAT inclusive.

No, and if those are the heart of your community Skool is the better fit. Skool has a classroom with drip schedules, level unlocks and course progress, plus points, levels and leaderboards. On Sooper you organise posts and videos into ordered collections, members see what they have watched and videos resume where they stopped, but there is no course progress, no drip by membership age and no gamification.

Members take part in chat channels and in threaded comments under posts, and they can message the creators of a community. Posts themselves are published by the creator and co-creators, and members cannot send each other direct messages. Skool is built around a member feed where everyone can post, with polls, likes and member to member messages.

Yes. Digital products, single posts, pay what you want, per-tier pricing and bookable sessions with seat limits, approval and Google Meet or Zoom links all live next to your memberships with the same checkout. Skool sells group access and courses as one-time purchases. Standalone digital products, single post sales and bookable sessions are not in Skool's help center.

Yes. Export your member list from the Members tab in Skool, invite those members to your Sooper community, and run both in parallel while people move over. Because Skool bills your members as the merchant of record, subscriptions cannot be transferred. Members start a new subscription on Sooper, and you can offer a coupon to make switching easy.
